About The Author

Cyrus Whelchel grew up in Converse, Texas, where both his local and school libraries were his home away from home. His favorite book growing up was Cornelia Funke’s The Thief Lord, followed very closely by Harry Potter.

After hopping between various jobs in early adulthood, Cyrus re-discovered his love of books and dedicating himself to being a Children’s Librarian, where he now shares a passion for stories with the next generation.

An avid reader of fantasy and mystery, Cyrus loves the challenge of anticipating the end of a good story. Inspired by the historical challenges faced by his father’s Jewish ancestors, The Faumen War Chronicles series shows the importance of being true to oneself and fighting against discrimination, no matter where you may find it.

Oaths of Life and Death is Cyrus’ first book.

"Imagination is the ship on which we sail the infinite possibilities of the universe."
